AOL CD Holder: Happy new years to all. Today I received two of the new AOL 9.0 CD offer (see pic 1) in the mail. The new AOL install CD looks nice, it's red color with the new AOL logo on it. The AOL CD is inside a book like cover, once you open it the CD is held in place with a clear plastic holder glue to the inside. I removed the AOL CD so I can save it and was about to throw the CD holder in the trash. I thought to myself there must be some good use for this AOL CD hold. That's how I came up with this convenient desktop CD holder idea, you can use it to hold your often used CD.

When I opened the cover and looked inside, I notices that the clear plastic CD hold can be removed from the cardboard backing, so I slowly removed it (see pic 3). Now I had a nice clean CD holder that I could use to hold my most offend used CD. My new plastic AOL CD holder has 4 spots of gummy glue on the back that I can use to stick it on to my desk, shelf, or wall. I looked around my desk for a good spot to stick my AOL CD holder and found one. My computer desk has a over the desk shelf, that's where I put my new CD hold on the in side of the shelf (see pic 4).

Now I have a cool looking new CD holder on the side of my desktop to hold my favorite most often used CD on it. Now when I have a game CD that need to be in the CDROM player for me to play , but I have to remove it to use the CD-Rom. Rather then putting the game CD back in to the game box, or laying it on my desk, I can place the CD into my new convenient CD hold, thanks to AOL!

OK, it looks very geeky but, that's OK around your computer area. If the gummy glue on the back of the CD hold won't hold or stick, you can try using a hot glue gun or double sided tape to hold it in place .
